Patras city is the third largest city in Greece. Patras is located in Peloponnisos and is well know for it’s natural beauty. Patras acts as a portal to the west, thanks to it’s geographical position and the port, which connects the country with a significant amount of ports in Italy.
It is a city of interesting sights and landmarks, which show the ancient and religious history of Patras. The new Archaeological Museum of Patras offers a chance to visitors to experience a unique tour to the past, while the imposing Rio - Antirrio Bridge (the longest in Europe on it’s kind) is located in the north part and can be seen from numerous places all over city.
Patras is the ideal touristic base, since it is located right in the center of the triangle of 3 of the most famous destinations of ancient history, Delfi, Ancient Olympia and Epidaurus. The Mycenaean park of Vounteni also in Patras, is one of the most important facilities of Mycenaean civilization internationally.
Patras also offers one of the most beautiful sunsets in Europe. You can easily enjoy it in a number of places next to the sea or higher on the hills.
